All collectors will tell you that it only takes only an instant to fall in love with a piece of art.
In that nanosecond, you are awestruck and completely mesmerized.
PURE POWER evokes those kinds of reactions.
Malliki has carved this magnificent narwhal with such realism one fully expects him to blink his eyes!
Pure has a spiral tusk.
Imagine carving that feature!
The flawless green/black stone is breathtaking.
When the light shines on Pure, the colour's hues and tones dance and glitter revealing the hidden depths of the stone
This exquisite carving has the perfect technical qualities we have come to expect from Paul Maliki.
Paul is a Canadian treasure.
His artistic ability is legendary.
Narwhal Fun Facts: The narwhal’s tusk is actually a tooth with millions of nerve endings inside it, meaning they can use it to ‘feel’ or taste.
Narwhal or Monodon Monoceros in Latin means “one-tooth-one-horn.”
In Inuktitut, "Narwhal" translates to “the one that points to the sky" referring to the narwhal's habit of pointing its tusk vertical to the sky.
