Masterpiece Sculpture! Superlative Motion!

Kelly Etidloie is a respected and recognized carver from Cape Dorset.

Kelly's birds have a distinctive wild demeanour that is attractive and intriguing.

Knife Edge is not a typical Etidloie bird carving.

Instead, he is caught in flight, flying on his "side" in what is known in the "biz" as a knife edge.

What a treat!

We can see EVERY stunning detail of this whimsical flyer.

The black feet, wide open eyes and open beak add a touch of realism and charisma to Knife Edge.

This bird seems to be on a mission, his open beak is chirping out orders to the rest of the flock behind him (which we cannot see).

Knife Edge's colour is warm, and the colour of a setting sun.

I can see Living On the Knife Edge as one of those pieces that attracts lots of attention.
