This Inuit camping scene is one of the most fascinating I have seen.
The green Argillite stone is common to the Sanikiluaq region.
Joe has used colours that contrast (black) and compliment (gray).
There are so many details.
Vignettes within a vignette.
Sala has doggedly carved a kayak and then placed it on a frame to keep it off the ground.
He has put hours and hours of carving work into just the igloo and the dog sled team/Inuk hunter.
Collectors are drawn to these scenes of Inuit life.
