Inuit art enthusiasts need no introduction to Jimmy Iqaluq and his loons.

The first Inuit carving I purchased to sell was an Iqaluq loon.

I was grounded by a blizzard in Sanikiluaq.

At the hotel, I saw this exquisite loon carving.

"Who carved this exquisite Loon" I asked the clerk?

I was directed to Jimmy's home and well, the rest is history.

Each bird is inspirational, carved with love and precision.

And when Jimmy deposits a precious chick on the back of its Mom, the AAHH factor sky rockets.

Escaping The Floods melts your heart as you image these two loons paddling to escape the turbulent waters of their lake during the recent never ending storms and subsequent flood. 

The Mom's red eyes, the beautiful rounded heads, and the meticulously carved feathers.

These are the SIGNATURE features of Jimmy's loons.

If you don't have an Iqaluq's loon, then from my perspective, your collection is not complete.

There is nothing quite as elegant and serene as a Jimmy Iqaluq loon.
