VINTAGE TREASURE!

Masterpiece Carving! Museum quality Sculpture!

Simeonie Kavik has set the Inuit art world on fire with his lovely Hunter carvings.

His elegant Walking bears are also extraordinary.

Camo is quickly making his way across the Arctic ice, his mouth open widely, exposing his sharp teeth!

A polar bear is the Arctic's largest land mammal and its most vicious!

If provoked, they can easily kill a human.

It is likely that Camo is scenting the air with his open mouth and does not represent an immediate danger to an unwary hunter.

Kavik's Camo is realistic meaning he looks like a "real" bear.

Walking bear carvings are all about the bear's stride, the perception of power and strength and of course the perfection of the physical carving.

Kavik's stone carving is superb and reminiscent of Joe Kavik who was famous for his Walking bears.

It is likely that Joe Kavik was a teacher and mentor of Simeonie Kavik.

Camo is especially unique as his stone and its colour is suggestive of bronze sculptures of the Art Deco period.

Pay particular attention to the open mouth.

The meticulous detail is one of the main rasons Camo is such a striking modern Inuit sculpture.
